4 tips for Exercise Motivation
1. Misery, complaints and playing the "poor me" card are not motivating. so avoid pessimistic people and search for encouraging, optimistic, enthusiastic individuals. They'll usually adjust your attitude to the ideal course. Seek for them and make friends with them. Quite often the only thing you really need to get motivated is to be with cheerful folks.
2. Get yourself an exercise buddy or two, or join an exercise group. Knowing that a group of people is waiting for you or even depending on you turning up can get you out even to an early morning class. And the others can help improve your mood if you're grumpy.
3. Write your exercise classes into your diary and check it every day, then you won't
be able to "forget" your planned exercise and double-
4. Keep an exercise notebook. Write in it the weights you lifted, the distance you jogged or the exercise repetitions you did. Look at it when you're feeling down and recognise that you have done a lot and you can do it again.
Tips to get motivated and FREEDUP to do what you really WANT!
1. If you are working on a difficult subject, team up with someone and try to explain it to them. Take it in turns. You'll both benefit. If you can't explain it, you don't know it and
it will help you identify the weak areas, so you can focus on improving those.
2. If you are finding difficulty in class, remember you have the right to ask questions before, during and after class. Talk to your teachers, explain your difficulty and ask for help. Ask to see them outside of class if you don't want the other students to know.
3. Group studying is called collaboration and can be fine. This is NOT the same as copying
-
well-
becoming a team player. Try working on a hard problem by yourself first and THEN turn to your friends for help. Sometimes group studying just turns into socializing. If so, cut
apart from the group.
4. If you have difficulty understanding a talk in class, leave a blank in your notebook at
the point where you didn't understand something. Fill in the gaps after the lecture or as soon as possible by checking with your teacher / lecturer or even your textbook! Your
notebook is your friend and it doesn't need to be perfectly completed -
USEFUL and UNDERSTOOD. Use it in a way that will help you understand and remember your subjects.
